Hardwood Installation

Any quality hardwood floor starts with quality installation. Ensuring that the wood is acclimated, using proper underlayment, and correctly racking the floor out are just a few ways to spot a quality job before a single board is nailed into place. At Weeks Hardwood Flooring, we follow all of these procedures and many, many more. We pride ourselves on strictly following all NWFA guidelines and standards for hardwood flooring installation.

Hardwood Refinishing

Sanding & finishing a new hardwood floor or refinishing an existing floor (especially) is a complex, multi-faceted procedure. At Weeks Hardwood Flooring, we use only professionally trained, in-house crews and only top-of-the-line sandpaper, machines, stains, and polyurethanes. This helps us keep our quality at a very high, very consistent level. We also use the Bona Atomic Dust Containment Trailer to severely reduce the level of dust that is caused by sanding hardwood flooring in an existing home. Less dust means less cleanup and that makes our customers extremely happy after the job is complete.

Prefinished Installation

There are two main types of prefinished hardwood floors. There are solid floors and there are engineered floors. Solid floors are typically 3/4" thick and are solid hardwood (Oak, Maple, Hickory, etc.) throughout. Engineered floors are typically between 3/8"-5/8" thick and have a thin hardwood veneer (Oak, Maple, Hickory, etc.). The core of the material is cross-laid plywood. At Weeks Hardwood Flooring, we offer and install a wide variety of both solid and engineered prefinished hardwood floors every day. Whatever your budget or style, we can get you the floor that you want.

Weeks Hard Wood Flooring Vinyl

At Weeks Hardwood Flooring we have expanded our product lines to include laminate, LVT (luxury vinyl tile), and vinyl flooring. These are great flooring options for areas that do not call for hardwood/tile/carpet (i.e., playroom/sunroom/laundry room) and can also be great alternatives.

  • Laminate is one of the most durable floors on the market. Because it is not natural wood, it holds up very well to everyday wear and tear. Also, you can get unique looks with laminate that would be impossible to achieve with real wood flooring.
  • LVT is the best alternative to tile flooring. You can achieve the look of tile without the everyday maintenance. It does not require any grout and because it installed with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, individual tiles can be pulled out and replaced with great ease. This makes repairs very simple.
  • Vinyl is another versatile flooring option and is the most cost-effective way to freshen up a bathroom or laundry room floor. It is also a quick and easy installation, which helps to speed up any renovation.
